First time customer, food was magnificent, decor was 5 star. Had the 18 inch appicella pizza, all I can say is WOW. Since coming from New York when I was a child at the age of 7, 20 something years ago, I think I finally found my home town pizza. Thank you appIcella, your pizza chef is so good.
A couple of things to note:
Coming from NY/NJ, I am very picky when it comes to Pizza. I found LOVE at Appicella's! We moved to Palm Springs 2 years ago and it took awhile to find good pizza. Now that I found this place, I am a permanent customer. My husband, who often has a very flat affect, took one bite of their Pizza and his face lit up with happiness. For someone who is not picky, he too was very impressed. I highly recommend this small family owned and operated business. Also, I was impressed how I did not have to wait long for delivery during peak hours! I cannot say enough good things about their menu. Try the cannolis! That's the real deal.
Appicella’s is a great local Pizza shop. My wife and I love their Sicilian pizzas. They are huge, deep and flavorful rectangular pan pizzas. One could easily feed 8. We will typically order on Friday night and reheat the leftovers for lunches during the weekend.
Ordered a lunch special for delivery... Half an eggplant parm, salad and a coke with a tiramisu. So, the salad is literally less than a handful of lettuce with one cucumber and one slice of tomato in the same Styrofoam box as the sandwich. Oookay... That's great. Then, I get to the tiramisu and its FROZEN! You've literally got to be kidding me. I'm embarrassed for you. You lost a potentially good customer being a typical sub par no standard Florida fly by night establishment! I know good food and good service and this isn't it by a long shot. Good luck with that, you'll be replaced by a shoe repair soon at the rate you're going.
1. Their delivery service is fast. They typically tell us it’ll be 45 minutes to an hour but always show up well before 45 minutes. I’d say no more than 30 minutes.
3. The Margarita, Bianca, and Appicella Specialty pizzas are well worth a try. The toppings abundant and provide a nice change of taste from anything you will get from some of the chain pizza places. Order one of these if you want a pie to impress friends or family when they come to visit.
2. Get their mozzarella sticks. You will thank me if enjoy hearty and savory mozzarella. These aren’t the frozen bar stool specials you find at other places, these are darn good. Again, try them, it’s worth it.
Coming from a real italian, this pizza is The bomb! Had a 18 inch ultimate and chicken wings and a cheese cake, the pizza came hot and crispy, and so did the wings! Mild sauce on the wings was perfect, guessing it was homemade. Cheese cake came to my house perfect, didn't taste like the other cheese cakes around town this one was better! Try them you won't regret it!
